As a longtime teacher and certified school counselor, I've helped hundreds of families navigate academic and social-emotional challenges. I understand how students develop as readers, writers, and thinkers—and more importantly, I know the specific strategies that actually work.

You don't have to figure this out alone.

A Little About Me
I'm Kristen, a longtime teacher, seasoned school counselor, and certified story enthusiast.

I’ve spent years studying brain development and how students learn best. One thing is clear: the frontal cortex isn’t fully developed until around age 25—yet we often expect kids and teens to handle tasks they’re not developmentally ready for.

That’s why I take a different approach.
Whether your child is feeling stuck, struggling to keep up, or ready to reach new heights, I guide them step-by-step, giving them the tools and confidence to move forward.
